Why Intentful not Intentional

Why intentful and not intentional: I was thinking about how much time I spend just thinking but not actually doing and laughed to myself that I was a "thoughtful" person but what I need to be is an "intentful" person. My thoughts need to transcend into intentional action and thus I need to move away from being "thoughtful" to "intentful".

Beautiful Besties

Today was a good day. A simple, but good day. The weather was an utterly fantastic 70* and sunny. We met our good friends, Amanda & Claire, for an outside lunch at Panera Bread. And then all of us headed to the park, to soak up much needed vitamin D high.

Linnea and Claire had not seen each other in over two weeks, for Claire and family had been in Oklahoma. Thus, upon seeing each other these two beautiful lifelong besties  were utterly ecstatic. So ecstatic it was  rather hard to get them to actually eat. Amanda and I had plenty to catch upon so it was rather nice to get to take our time at a restaurant as the girls were utterly content just getting to sit next to each other and play. After lunch we promised the girls they would see each other very shortly and drove to our favorite nearby park.

Turning the corner to go for a walk at the park-so let the fun begin!

You may notice that L has her hands clinched and a glint in her eye.

That is because she had just discovered the wonders of gravel, and was eager to share with Claire.

The girls then spent a good 20 minutes exploring all the possibilities one could use hand siphoned  gravel for.

At the end of the walk Amanda and I lazily sat in the sun on a bench while the Beautiful Besties went to play on a play structure. Very soon two five year old besties came running up to them and declared L and Claire their baby dolls for the afternoon.

They listened very carefully to the directions for the game to be played (the game was pretending to be in a car ride to Hawaii).

The three passengers of the car, while the driver climbed into her seat.

The other girl wanted to ride in the passenger seat which also happened to have a steering wheal.

Even more girls came to play.

Claire decided she was done and would rather have some snuggle time with Mom.

L tried to leave too but she was stopped for negotiations.

It was decided that L would stay to play if she too got to drive the car.

But then it was time for the Beautiful Besties to sadly say good bye.
