Why Intentful not Intentional

Why intentful and not intentional: I was thinking about how much time I spend just thinking but not actually doing and laughed to myself that I was a "thoughtful" person but what I need to be is an "intentful" person. My thoughts need to transcend into intentional action and thus I need to move away from being "thoughtful" to "intentful".

Last and Best Day

Our last stay-cation day started off with going out to breakfast, walking to the farmers market and then going on the best hike we have been on in a long time.

We drove up to Timberline Lodge on Mt. Hood, from there hit the Pacific Crest Trail and then hiked to Big Zigzag Cannon. The hillsides were lined with sweet smelling, purple honey suckle, the views were amazing, and although hard at times the terrain was doable. Linnea was a trooper and even hiked the beginning part. The total hike was around 4 miles and it was almost 90* out so we were all famished by the end.

My favorite hike memory was when Linnea, in the backpack, put her hand to her ear and said, "Hello." Then reached her other hand around to Joe's ear and waited for him to say "hello" back. They conversed over the "phone" like that for quite awhile.

L walking up a steep hill as we head out from the lodge.

Nice view of Mt. Hood.

Still going but now the terrain is volcanic ash and she is nearly ready for the backpack.

The view looking the opposite direction of Mt. Hood. In the far distance you can see Trillium Lake.

Going down Little Zigzag Cannon about half way there (see L dangling out of the pack).

Crossing a small glacier stream.

We made it! Joe and L admiring the view of Big Zigzag Cannon.

A very exhausted L back at the Lodge after a very long, hot hike back.
