Why Intentful not Intentional

Why intentful and not intentional: I was thinking about how much time I spend just thinking but not actually doing and laughed to myself that I was a "thoughtful" person but what I need to be is an "intentful" person. My thoughts need to transcend into intentional action and thus I need to move away from being "thoughtful" to "intentful".

Halloween Weekend Fun

We had a wonderfully fun scaled back Halloween weekend. Scaled back in that we did not host our annual adult Halloween party. We found that it is just impossible to do with all of us now either parents are becoming parents soon. Nonetheless, we had a great Halloween. The Gang met up at the McConnell's house to take advantage of their perfect neighborhood street for L's first time trick or treating. L had an entorage of 7 adults, 2 dogs and one baby following her as Joe led her door to door. Kevin took advantage of having a 6 month old baby and filled up "Eva's treat bag" too. Yup, that is right we had the Dad using his baby for candy. Afterwords, we ate pizza, chatted, played games, and just enjoyed each other.

The next day the sun finally came out! It was the perfect brisk fall day, so we took full advantage of it and headed to the zoo. We all had a wonderful and rejuvenating time looking at the animals, soaking up the sun, and smiling till our cheeks hurt. L's language skills are on an expedited track right now, so in the zoo pics I highlighted things she said. Though you grands, great grands and one auntie would like it :-)

Thursday was this year's playgroup Halloween Party. WOW, and we thought last years picture was hard to get!

The Little Red Ridding Hood Costume.

L and her bestie Eva the Bumble Bee

First house was a breeze, as it was a serve yourself bowl.

Eva got an attempt at it too.

A couple of houses down not so breezy. For this very nice man originally answered the door in a witches mask. L immediatley clung for dear life and gave a whimper. The very nice man quickly took off the mask, apologized profusely and gave L a rather large handful of candy.

Now this is much better, a candy giver her own size.

Part of the entourage.

Almost forgot to get a picture with me in it.

Mmmm, chocolate.

Mmmm, even better chocolate hands.

The Zoo

We were walking by and L calls in her happiest known voice "YELLOW CHAIR! YELLOW CHAIR! Please, sit yellow chair. Mommy, sit red chair! Ah, yellow chair, yellow chair." L's favorite color is yellow, and she is currently in a chair phase.

Have I mentioned that L LOVES ducks. I mean LOVES, LOVES, LOVES ducks.

This is L telling "No, bye, bye Duck" when we asked her if she would like to move on. To get her to go I promised (and was not lying) more ducks up ahead.

There were two goats in plain sight, and one sort of hidden. Upon seeing the two L declared, "TWO GOAT!" And we were proud.

"Walking, Walking, up hill!" That is what L chants whenever there is a hill to climb. Joe had tried picking her up but she told him, "No, put me down. Walking, Walking!"

We ended our zoo visit to a first time trip to the gift store. We are the lucky parents of a child who only wanted a $1.50 "pURPle, Hee, Hee, ug"We obliged for she did say please. This is now her preferred glass to drink from (purple is her second favorite color).
