Why Intentful not Intentional

Why intentful and not intentional: I was thinking about how much time I spend just thinking but not actually doing and laughed to myself that I was a "thoughtful" person but what I need to be is an "intentful" person. My thoughts need to transcend into intentional action and thus I need to move away from being "thoughtful" to "intentful".

In Nea News

Once again, Joe and I are amazed at what a wonderful baby we got. I know that probably all parents feel this way, but really Nea is something special. She has such a good temperament, and we are constantly enthralled by it. Yesterday, we decided on doing some much needed yard work. So we rolled out the pack-n-play filled it with toys and put Linnea in it. She happily talked to her toys and crawled around while we racked, mowed, and filled our debris bin. Linnea would wave to us as we worked, we would wave back, and then she would giggle her heart melting giggle. The day before we took Linnea for a walk in our favorite park, Washington Park, and discovered her "Three Stooges" humor. Joe had her in the Ergo on his back and I lovingly shoulder bumped his. Linnea gave a slight giggle, so I not so lovingly did it a again-bigger giggle. Joe and I looked at each other mischievously and began a shoulder/body slamming chase. I would run, jump and bounce off Joe, Joe would chase me and do the same, and Linnea was laughing as if she was going to explode. We probably looked like a crazy family-mom and dad body slamming and baby laughing like a mad woman, but really why else do you have kids? To be honest, we were also laughing pretty hard too.

Linnea can say dada, mom, akey (kitty), dugh (for her rubber ducky), and mmmm (more). She waves bye and hello, and sometimes will sign more. We have been working with her on baby signs but she seems more interested in trying to say the words than signing them. Currently she has been working on her T sound and does stings of ta,ta,ta,ta.

  1. Being parents is the best. I don't think we laughed this much before we had EM

  2. So hilarious. Tyler loves when we are very un-PC too. The more we hurt each other or act totally socially inappropriate, the more he laughs. Miss you guys --- Jess
