Why Intentful not Intentional

Why intentful and not intentional: I was thinking about how much time I spend just thinking but not actually doing and laughed to myself that I was a "thoughtful" person but what I need to be is an "intentful" person. My thoughts need to transcend into intentional action and thus I need to move away from being "thoughtful" to "intentful".

First Solid Food, and the Park

Today was an exciting day, first Linnea tried solid foods for the very first time! It was actually very uneventful-no mess, no fuss, no glee. She took the food happily from the spoon, swallowed it with out an issue, but wasn't that impressed with the Earth's Best Organic Brown Rice Cereal. She didn't love it or hate it. She took about five bites and was done.

After breakfast we put Linnea in the BOB and walked to Sherwood's Old Car Show. Thanks to a high school boyfriend I have way to much useless knowledge about old America muscle cars (mostly just Chevy's). Joe finds it very entertaining that I know more about old cars than he, and loves to quiz me as we walk by.

After the car show we walked up to Snyder park on the hill. Joe took Linnea to dangle her toes in the water feature with the other kids. She loved it! Soon she was splashing and trying to sit in the water. After a bit Joe redirected her attention by sitting her on the grass where she happily yanked it out and cooed to him. I mostly followed them around taking pictures, and then rested on our blanket. Joe ended the park trip clicking pictures of Linnea on the swings, of course!

  1. No wonder she wasn't that impressed with the Earth's Best Organic Brown Rice Cereal. She was looking for homemade mashed potatoes with turkey gravy! :)

  2. Cute pictures. Em wasn't too impressed with her first foods either. She has developed a rich palette now though.
